Obviously went to the midnight showing and the movie was everything I was expecting/hoping for AND MORE. I don't think there was a dry eye in the theater, and if there was, I am sure the amount I cried completely made up for it. I can't wait to go see it many many more times (hi, Titanic part 2) and then for the DVD to come out. I must say the weirdest part was watching this show I have been watching on TV for SOO many years, on the big screen. Anyway, if you are a girl and you have any sort of emotions or feelings or anything of that nature... go see it right now!

Go download the new Sigur Ros single at the link above (for free!). It is absolutely AMAZING and such a step in a new direction for them (ie: no longer sleepy time music). I cannot wait to hear more new music from them!

I have listened to The Sunday's version of "Wild Horses" about a thousand times in the past few days and I don't think I could EVER get sick of it.

It is even better when you compare it to the version that Adam Levine and Alicia Keys completely destroy this incredible song in:

The Roarin' 20s

I think 1920s inspired "flapper dresses" (like this one from French Connection) are going to be the new sequin trend that we have seen SO much of. At first I thought these dresses were a little bit more tacky than flashy but my opinion has changed and I really like them... the look definitely gives a certain flare to an otherwise "little black dress".

Only a few days left...

The Sex & the City movie comes out SO SOON and I am very antsy! I love THIS little video about the styling for the movie, something I CANNOT wait to see... and I LOVE the obvious concentration on fabulous accessories (I am a huge fan of accessories, just ask anyone who has taken a peek into my accessories closet) -- shoes, bags, belts, jewelry! One thing I do not like, and never have, is how Samantha will have SO MUCH in one palette (for instance... in this photo, red jacket, red skirt, red belt, red shoes, red bag; Hi overkill!)<3 MAY 30TH CMERE.

Clark & Pougnaud

So, after my first day, I would say my internship is off to a fabulous start because more than half of my day was spent researching different galleries in Chicago (something I wouldn't mind doing anyway!). During this, I was exposed to a lot of new and exciting artists that I have never heard of before. I fell IN LOVE with Clark & Pougnaud, a team from France that mixes photography, painting, and digital retouching. They have a few different fun photo sets that you can see on the Catherine Edelman Gallery's website (along with some other fantastic artists!)... Here are a few of my personal favorites:


L'Ascension (2000) from Le Parcours de Dorothy (Dorothy's Journey - a Wizard of Oz set?! I was obviously IMMEDIATELY in love)

Wii Fit

Yesterday Nintendo released a game for Wii that I think is a really great idea. Wii Fit ($90) comes with a balance board that calculates different things such as BMI and shifts in balance. There are a bunch of different exercise options such as yoga, strength training, and aerobics. Nintendo's Wii already gained recognition for being one of the best video gaming systems for exercise (can't forget about Dance Dance Revolution!) and I think this is another step in a positive direction by Nintendo for our under-exercised, over-video gamed society. Lauren, this game kind of makes me want a Wii again!
